Being from Ohio, I was introduced to the Pelotonia bike ride in Columbus back in 2008. Since it's beginning 10 years ago it has raised over $184 million for the James Cancer Center at Ohio State. Now that I am a resident of Augusta, I'm excited to be a part of the Cranston Engineering bike team and join the campaign for Paceline; to ride, volunteer and to help promote the Georgia Cancer Center here in Augusta and its mission to cure cancer.
Cancer has affected us all in one way or another. Some of us have family or friends that have suffered the effects of cancer while others of us are cancer survivors. In 2016, I lost one of my best friends to cancer. Mike Burns was a marathon runner, a bike rider, an avid golfer and regularly volunteered his time to OneSight. I am riding in his honor to help raise money for a cure for cancer.
Any donation, LARGE or SMALL, is greatly appreciated. Every dollar raised will go directly to fund cancer research. THANK YOU for your support and for being part of the solution!
Together, we can cure cancer faster!
