Cancer is a silent killer to which no one is immune. It destroys the lives of the victims and their families. However, prevention and treatment is better now than it has ever been. Research and investment does make a difference, and it is crucial to not only continue but increase the efforts to find a cure.
In 2010, my lifelong friend lost his father to cancer. Billy Kobs was an avid outdoorsman that had a passion for life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends on numerous hunting and fishing excursions. I had the privilege to be one those friends. His family has had a long history with the disease which has significantly impacted their lives as a result.
I am riding in Billy's memory to continue and expand the fight to lesson or even eliminate the effect that the disease will have on future generations.
